Turn Up the Boombox! Rocky, Starring Andy Karl & Margo Seibert, to Release Knockout Cast Album

Get ready for your favorite new workout album! The new musical adaptation of Rocky, now playing at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre, will release a cast recording May 27. Grammy winner Elliot Scheiner will record and mix the new recording, and the musical's songwriting team, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, are on tap to produce.

Based on the Academy Award-winning film of the same name, Rocky tells the iconic story of Philly boxer Rocky Balboa, who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to compete against heavyweight champ Apollo Creed. The cast features Andy Karl as Rocky, Margo Seibert as Adrian and Terence Archie as Apollo Creed, plus a powerhouse ensemble. Rocky is directed by Alex Timbers.

The new cast recording will incorporate hits from the movie including "Eye of the Tiger" and "Gonna Fly Now," as well as new songs "Fight From the Heart," "In the Ring," "Wanna Know Why," "My Nose Ain't Broken," "Happiness," "I'm Done" and more.
